Chocolate. Ice cream. Cake. These confectioneries can do to a teetotal what alcohol does to the addicts. Sweets serve as a catalyst to our happiness. No matter if we are in the grey of our life or in the pink of our life, the best remedy or celebration for our joy is reaching out for the cookie jar or cuddling up with an ice cream.
Warning: Having the same kind of dessert, for instance a banoffee pie or some warm brownie with ice cream, has very favourable odds in tapering off our love for sweets.
WE DON’T WANT THAT. Sugar is life, isn’t it? We don’t want some monotonous desserts to ruin that for us. So here is a bucket list of some mouth-watering uncommon desserts which are going to add up to your to-do list.
10. Dutch Baby with Lemon Sugar
A Dutch Baby—basically a cross between a pancake and a popover—is tremendously popular in Seattle. This is basically one huge popover that ends up being shaped like a bowl. Anything you would put on pancakes or waffles would work as a Dutch baby topping: fruits, powdered sugar, honey or maple syrup. The Gourmet recipe uses lemon sugar, made by combining lemon zest with the sugar.
9. BAKED ALASKA
Baked Alaska is a dessert made out of ice cream and cake topped with a lovely browned meringue. The dish is made of ice cream placed in a pie dish lined with slices of sponge cake topped with meringue. The entire dessert is then placed in an extremely hot oven for a brief time, long enough to firm the meringue. The meringue is an effective insulator, and the short cooking time prevents the heat from getting through to the ice cream.
Fire adds a drama to the dessert.

The citrus in the cake radiates summer, while the poppy seed gives a playful crunch to the tender cake. The passion-fruit curd recalls 98 Provence—plus, the rich curd could rival the creaminess of that dessert. Yum yum.

1. FRRROZEN HAUTE CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM SUNDAE
There’s sundaes. Then there’s ‘The Sundae’. This is not your regular cup of ice cream. This is the world’s most expensive ice cream. The $25,000 ice cream’s cost comes mainly from the 18 carat gold and diamond bracelet that comes on the side, along with a gold spoon. Scoopi’s ‘Black Diamond’ dessert has a relatively simple Madagascar vanilla bean ice cream base. But its toppings are where the money is. It’s crowned with Italian truffles and rare Iranian saffron, which can retail as much as $100 an ounce. The dessert also has 23-kt edible gold flakes. The black diamond comes with a keepsake from the opulent experience, the Versace bowl it is served in along with a matching spoon.
