Iranian President Rouhani Says 25 Million People in Iran are Infected with Covid-19

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has said that 25 million people in Iran suffer from coronavirus infection. And this high number of Covid-19 infections has raised a lot of concerns for the health ministry of the country. Iran is the worst affected middle-eastern country as the total number of coronavirus cases is increasing continuously.

Moreover, the Iranian president has said that about 35 million are at high risk due to coronavirus. Iran has a total population of over 80 million and the middle eastern country is facing a challenging time amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

The data quoted by Rouhani is based on a new report from the Iranian Health Ministry and the number mentioned in it is very much higher than Iran’s official number of 269,440 infected. Earlier, when the outbreak of covid-19 started, Iran didn’t show a strict response to prevent it. And since then, the number of coronavirus infections is increasing at a rapid rate.

Until now, the total number of deaths has crossed the mark of 14,000 and there is an atmosphere of fear in the Islamic country. And if one believes this new report, then Iran is one of the worst affected countries due to COVID-19 in the world.

According to Rouhani, the total number of 2,00,000 people have been hospitalized until now. But the situation will worsen if the country fails to act strictly against the Covid-19 infections to prevent its citizens from falling victim to the deadly virus. Until now, the total number of coronavirus cases has crossed the mark of 14 million and this number is increasing with every passing day.
