Scientists have developed a new kind of blood test to predict whether you are going to die in the next 10 years or not. Scientists from Germany observed and analysed about 44,000 people to uncover 14 biomarkers present in the human blood that can be the reason behind the risk of death.

These biomarkers discovered are associated with the glucose and immunity level of your blood. And, including the amount of circulation of fat throughout your body and detects inflammation as well. The biomarkers were found to be more than 83% accurate to detect whether a person is going to die within the next two to sixteen years.

The methodology that involves the detection of these biomarkers is yet to be implemented in the conventional form of blood testing, which is used to check if a patient is suffering from any form of infection. The scientists are hopeful that this method of detection shall prove to be beneficial in a patient’s treatment procedure.

This shall also help to assess whether an elderly person is too frail to undergo surgery or not. The blood pressure and cholesterol level are used to determine the life span of a person.
