After a deadly crash of one light aircraft in the field close to Henley-on-Thames, 2 people have been reported dead as per police reports. According to the Thames Valley Police, the passenger as well as the pilot was noted dead at the crash site in Stonor of South Oxfordshire.
A thorough search of the crash site confirmed that there were no more casualties or injuries. Reports of this crash were confirmed on Saturday around 2:10pm. The site was immediately attended by the ambulance, police, and fire service.
As per the statement provided by the Air Accidents Investigation Branch, immediately after the confirmation of the crash, the AAIB dispatched a team for investigation of the situation. The incident which took place at Stonor is known to be popular for the Stonor House, which is a historically acclaimed building encircled by large grounds which includes a privately operating deer park as well.
As of now, no other report has been provided about the crash by the AAIB. A spokesperson for the AAIB mentioned that wreckage of the aircraft shall be taken to the investigation facility located at Hampshire for detailed study of what went wrong.
